GENERAL CAMPGROUND RULES

​

We’ve established the following general campground guidelines to help insure your safety and your enjoyment, while in our campground and the same to our other guests. Those who choose not to observe these guidelines can be asked to leave our park without any form of refund.

 

SPEED LIMIT:

  • 5 mph. Please observe our speed limit to insure the safety of all our guests.

QUIET TIME:

  • 11 p.m. to 8 a.m - No loud amplified music, yelling, dog barking 

​

PARKING:

  • Only one vehicle is allowed per campsite.

​

CHILDREN:

  • Guests are responsible for all behavior of children. All children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.

​

SAFETY AFTER DARK:

  • In order to insure safety after dark, please carry a flashlight. No bike or scooter riding after dark.

​

TRASH:

  • To encourage minimal carbon footprint and waste, we practice “leave no trace” principle.  You should pack in and pack out your garbage.  There is a $5 garbage fee if you use our dumpster.

​

CAMPFIRES:

  • Campfires are permitted in the designated metal fire pit located at each site.  

​

FIREWORKS AND FIREARMS:

  • Prohibited on campground property including BB, Airsoft and pellet guns.

​

ILLEGAL DRUGS & SUBSTANCES:

  • Prohibited on campground property.

​

PETS:

  • Keep on leashes (six-foot maximum length) or inside and do not leave unattended. No excessive barking allowed. Pets must be walked by a responsible person to pick up after them immediately. Pets are not allowed in or near any buildings, bathrooms, playground or attraction areas. They are prohibited due to health codes.  Maximum of 1 pet allowed.

VISITORS:

  • During COVID-19 pandemic, visitors are not allowed and not permitted on property. 

​

RECREATIONAL VEHICLES:

  • No battery-operated vehicles or motor-driven cycles, bikes, scooters or golf carts are to be driven in the campground.

​

VEHICLE REPAIRS:

  • Vehicles and RV’s are not permitted in the campground. You may check with the local listings for businesses that provide these services.

​

WASTE WATER DISPOSAL:

  • Ground disposal of any drain water (gray or black) is prohibited by State Law. Wastewater from RVs (including sink water) must be disposed of into dump station.

​

VIOLATION OF THESE GUIDELINES:

  • Grounds for ejection from the park without refund

​

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT

  • Check-In 1 p.m. (PST) | Check-Out 11 a.m. (PST)

  • Check-Out: means your campsite must be vacated by 11 a.m. (MST). We ask that you honor our Check-Out time promptly to minimize hardship on our housekeeping staff and the next arriving guests.

 

CANCELLATION

  • We will return your deposit minus a $5 service charge if you cancel FIVE (5) or more days prior to your arrival date. There are no refunds after FOUR (4) days prior to your arrival date. 

  • No Shows: Guests failing to contact us to cancel their reservation (with the required time, listed above) will be considered a no show and subject to the same cancellation policies.

  • You can cancel  with a written notification to prancingunicornresort@gmail.com.

ACCIDENT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM

 

I HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH Prancing Unicorn Resort and Recreation L.L.C. (PURR), located at 741 SE Craig St, Shelton, WA, 98584 including by way of example and not limitation, any risks from contracting COVID-19 virus, as well as any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.

I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently prepared or trained for participation in this activity, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my participation in this activity. I also certify that I don't show any COVID-19 symptoms and have been practicing proper social distancing protocols the last 14 days.

I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers of the activity in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity. 

​

In consideration of my application and permitting me to come onto PURR property, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: 

​

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: The Prancing Unicorn Resort & Recreation L.L.C., (PURR) and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, and the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers;

(B) INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. 

​

I acknowledge that PURR and their directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and agents are NOT responsible for the errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific activity on their behalf. 

​

I acknowledge that my presence on PURR property may involve a test of a person's physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, monitors, and/or producers of the activity. These risks are not only inherent to participants, but are also present for volunteers. I acknowledge that this activity is a private event that is free to attend and that monetary exchanges are donations to the development and promotion of PURR. 

​

I hereby consent to receive medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity. 

​

I understand while on PURR property, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the activity holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns. Photos of minors will be under the permission/consent of parents or guardians. 

​

In the company of minors whom I am the legal guardian, I take full responsibility for their actions and WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for the minor's death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: The Prancing Unicorn Resort & Recreation L.L.C., (PURR) and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, and the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers;

The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. 

​

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I AGREE BY ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ADMITTANCE ON PURR PROPERTY.
